Three security officials in Court over UK Cannabis

Three Security officials on Monday appeared before an Accra Circuit for their various roles they played in facilitating the exportation of 7.5 kilogrammes of cocaine and 1,545 kilogrammes of Cannabis through the Kotoka International Airport to the United Kingdom.


 
Robbers Rape Passengers on Highway

Several female passengers on board about 15 vehicles from Mampong heading towards Kumasi on Monday evening, allegedly suffered the unpleasant experience of being raped at gunpoint by a group of highway robbers who barricaded the road with blocks at the Mampong scalp area, unconfirmed.


 
Five People including a Woman Arrested in Armed Robbery Case

Five persons including a woman were on Monday arraigned before Agona Swedru Circuit Court on provisional charges of conspiring to commit crime and murdering Thomas Mensah Moses, an agent of Glo telecommunication in Winneba.


 
Police Arrest Four Carjackers

Four suspected carjackers have been arrested by the Greater Accra regional police command and will soon be arraigned before the law court.

 

Drivers Caught Bribing Tema Police

Some commercial vehicle drivers plying the Tema-Aflao highway were on Thursday caught by the law as they failed in their attempt to bribe some officers from the Tema Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU).  The officers who were on a special operation at Dawa in the Ningo-Prampram District were offered between GH¢1 and GH¢10 for motor offences ranging from driving with fake and underweight licenses, fake insurance stickers and lack of maintenance of their vehicles.
